Hi, I am a kid, and I am not telling you my age because it is personal info. And I am female. And to any adults reading this, being a kid is really hard. You have to listen to your parents and do (almost) everything they tell you and they never listen to you. Plus, a reason for them to say no is "because I am an adult and your parent". No offense to any adults reading this. Also it's very tiring. Homework, homework, homework. But honestly, I kinda like homework. I am a very organized person and very into studying. I also play tennis and violin, and I do very advanced math. And I love it. Anyways, back to the forum. Being a kid can also feel great. Not as much work and WAY less responsibilities. But I am also I older sister. And sisters can be annoying. So yeah. You get the point. Please tell me if you liked being a kid, or what it was/is like to be a kid for you. Also, please check out my blogs and teams. Thank you!
hello, im a kid too : ) and life is kinda hard rn too because of all the tests and finals and stuff...and im kinda under a lot of stress rn... well im kinda staying up late ( 11-12PM) and I wake up at (6:20Am idk if its early or not) and my mom gives me a lot of homework and I have other afterschool classes and btw I kinda like homework too : ) I do alg 1 and im in 6th grade idk if thats advanced or not but im gonna learn geometry over the summer so in 7th grade ill been alg 2... my opinion is that being a kid is great and kids don't need take care of finances and maybe kids and jobs and a bunch of other stuff...(im starting to worry abt finances...) (I take financial literacy as a elective in my school...) anyways being a kid also includes making some choices that affect when u grow up like I study a lot so all my grades are above a 94% so I prob wont be in such a bad school when I go to university/college... I like being a kid better than a adult cause like well my mom always saying how being a kid is so great and I kinda agree so (plus I do not want to have the responsibilities a adult has)... im kinda yapping abt myself rn so... well ig the end...

kind of related story?
my parents get upset even if i get something in A- range (and to note I rarely get anything in B range), which really sucks since I do try but I also have 4 extracirriculars on top of that. And then one day I was cleaning some stuff and found one of their english tests that hade a 33% (not even exaggerating). So although they have been a kid once, they sure do like to project what they wanted to be onto us, which is stressful.

LOL. Well I guess so. Every adult has been a kid before but only the super good or super bad memories last. Not all. : )

Being a kid was hard for me, can't imagine these days with the palpable feeling of uncertainty & mistrust that seems to permeate everything.
Your parents are (hopefully) trying to do their best. When you grow up you'll realize how misguided & wrong a lot of their ideas/actions were but that doesn't mean they're not doing their best.
And just because they might be wrong doesn't necessarily mean any opposite ideas are true just that life is complex.
As for school, I don't envy kids being in school. I'm so glad to not be stuck in school anymore. Just get thru & hopefully can move on to uni & study what you want. Bend the rules where you can so you can follow your own interests instead of boring school agenda that is so utterly out of touch with the world.
Don't get too caught up on the internet. I grew up before the internet, if I'd had it it probably would've made me feel both less lonely & much more lonely simultaneously.
All the best.
