I sometimes hear chess referred to as a sport. I think this is good. Mentally, it very much is.
I used to run 5ks in Cross Country in high school. After each athletic event (or heavy workout) we'd do cooldowns.
After a 30+20 against all equal opponent, I feel mentally like I ran a 5k. How do you do mental cooldowns, after a grueling chess match?

Same, you have to combine mental and physical activity.

yes chess is considered a sport like any other
even if we are sitting down playing, we have to think in our head what we should play

normal, even OTB players after playing 1 game 90+30 get tired

@SergioGlorias that's comforting, to know that tired is a standard sensation. But, still, what do you do when you're feeling that way? Anything in particular that helps you out?

I just saw these - thank you ^~^ I'll start considering some easy-to-access outdoor activities. I don't own a basketball hoop but I can see how that would be a pretty fantastic post-chess activity!!!
@KenulL_76
I think you might be missing the "cooldown" part of the cooldown ;D hahaha, your response gave me a good lighthearted chuckle tho, thanks^~^
