As far as I know, Windows 10 LTSC will be supported before 2027, and Windows 10 Iot LTSC before 2032!

Windows 10 dominates the market share atm, and most malicious attacks will be made against it, as it is easier for attackers to try and get access to a system not getting any updates. i wouldn't advise using an outdated system like windows 7 and very soon windows 10, especially if you are connecting to the internet. i personally wouldn't take the risk.
I used very old Pc with Win 10- for 7 or move ears , and I was infected from the start on My fault, but when I got rid of all viruses I continued using it without virus I detected, and now on New PC I don't see that viruses can get Me . I only browse in interenet same sites, wich has no virus threat, also I check every link on virus total. I don't think anything will change

actually, since the linux kernel and distros that make use of it are free software, and the code is open source, you can modify one to create your own distro, and if you say that's cheating, well i say there's no use in creating a new one from scratch when there's a tried and true kernel and communities around it
So You can make it or?If that was so simple, anyone would do that long ago

Excuse me, but I should remind you that Lichess, or anyone involved with Lichess/the team is not advertising anything, and you likely are referring to this blog post being promoted. that's likely because of the high views and likes in a short time, and is not advertising in the traditional sense. either you are trolling, or you should take a look at the situation again. thank you

Buddy i wasn't talking about the article being promoted i was talking about Linux being promoted. Are you a stakeholder in their company or smt?

I recommend the easy to use MX linux.

https://mxlinux.org/

The latest stable is 23.6, but the beta MX 25 is now in testing, I am using it every day, very stable, but wait a few weeks if you want the final version.

Installs easy, a great support forum.
With two mouse clicks after installation, you can get scid for database, and the latest stockfish 17.1, all for free and easy.

scid pulls in and works with a 20 million + game database.
