BUG: I can't resign/give up a game

Hi,

I just started playing chess, and sometimes make stupid mistakes.

Then I would like to option to forfeit the game. I guess that's what the flag icon is for. But it's not working for me. I press it, it turns red, but then after a few seconds returns to white.

I have asked my opponents if they are somehow blocking me, but they think it's a bug.

I've read the f.a.q, but didn't see it mentioned, and I don't know how to fix it.

It's irritating having to wait 8 mins for the game to end :(

Maybe you just sac all your pieces and lose.
It's the same thing as resigning Or, you could just keep playing and try to either make a draw or win. I do that a lot.

Click the flag, it turns red. Click it again to resign. It's to prevent you from resigning accidentally.

Also, this. Especially as a beginner, keep playing because your opponent might also make a stupid mistake. Like promoting his 3rd pawn to a queen without noticing it's stalemate.

Yup! And even at a high level it could work:
