chess.com PGN timestamps don't work on Lichess

When I play a game on chess.com I usually upload it on Lichess for computer analysis. For that I copy the PGN, but with timestamps checked as on. Lichess doesn't see the timestamps other than the initial starting position.

I don't know which side is the cause of the problem but I thought to leave a feedback here. ̄\_(ツ)_/ ̄

It depends on which view you're in. In one dialog, you get timestamps like this which is no good: {[%timestamp 23]}

It's a bit fiddly, but if you go to https://www.chess.com/games/archive/{username}, and check for timestamps there and then the game you want, you can download it -- it will actually download as a file, and that file will have usable timestamps: {[%clk 0:05:03.3]}

Good news, the sabotage has been a success!

I tried it https://i.imgur.com/k8R02mY.png
But I still see no timestamps in my lichess analysis. Doesn't matter that much tbh, but it's unfortunate.

That's weird @OzyWho. I use this all the time. (Bringing chess.com games over to lichess for analysis, with clock times.) Are you seeing the proper {[%clk 0:05:03.3]} format in your downloaded PGN?

Ah, I see. Looks like it doesn't work for imported games. If you add to a study, you'll get the timestamps. Seems like it should be doable and would be a reasonable bug/feature request.

Comments are stripped on import. I would presume to prevent any possible copyright infringement as imported games are not private.

Yah makes sense
