There is always a resign/"give up" button whether you use the app or any browser. It's the flag button.
You have to press it twice. (This prevents accidentally resigning)
You have to double click the resign button in order to resign

Literally everyone figures how to resign ... if not immediately, then at least after a bit of time ... so what you say cannot hold true. Anyone of your opponents could have told you how to resign and that you have to press it twice.
