Being a pokemon trainer don't pay

A lemonade is 300 pikedollar PD
Which means a poke balls are 1 dollar each
When you play against youngsters you win 100 pd on average, if you fight 100 of them and win all games you get 100 dollar, which is what you get from the youngsters in the entire Kanto region
Traveling take 1 year as we see in ash journey(100 dollar in a year) and most won't play against you again
The 1million you win at the end is only 10000 dollar and most trainers won't be able to win it
And counting the expenses as healing items pokeballs food ... good luck on your journey
Because unless you will be a gym leader or an elite 4, you will be poor as a pokemon trainer

That is true, even if in the games you make enemies hhh
