Got a question for the candidates? Lichess will do pre-event interviews with Fabiano Caruana, Wei Yi, Javokhir Sindarov, Matthias Bluebaum, Tan Zhongyi and Vaishali R! Share your questions in the replies, and some might make it to the interviews!

1. In today’s engine-dominated era, how do you balance your own creativity with computer preparation?

2. What goes through your mind right after you realize you’ve made a serious mistake during a game?

3. Do you think intuition or calculation is more important in fast time controls like blitz?

4. At the highest level, what separates a 2700+ player from a 2800 player?

1. The tournament is being held at a resort in Cyprus. How important is the physical environment and the Mediterranean climate to your mental stamina over three weeks of play?

2. The ultimate goal is to challenge Gukesh for the title. Having seen his rise, what is the one X-factor in his game that you feel you've specifically prepared for?

• Sindarov: How do you Balance your Chess Training in percentage (Calculation, Opening, Endgame, Strategy)?
• Sindarov: What would you recommend for a 2100 Fide Rated Junior to reach FM?

If you win, are you excited to face Gukesh Dommaraju?

Do you think you have chances to be the 19th world champion and if yes for how long will you retain the title before losing or getting tired
