Cheat reports

Maybe there isn't enough people who can check reports? what about giving people above a certain rating and years on lichess the capacity to select between some options (obvious case, not enough proof,) to make the most obvious case priority to moderators who finally decide. i reported an obvious cheater a few days ago and nothing. the guy played 150+games, with 95+ accuracy minimum. his lost are from giving up on winning position or first move.

i feel like being able to cheat so blatantly for so long without repercussion doesn't send a good message for legit players.

this cannot be helped. the expectation that every report is handled within the same, short time frame is simply not realistic. queuing times can be reduced on average, but there will always be a few that take much longer. this is often times true when you wait for something to happen. you can google "waiting time distribution" or "queuing theory".

and what happens is that most cheaters are marked quickly, but for those who aren't marked quickly, the reporters run to the forums and lament that they "lose faith" or that it "doesn't send a good message to legit players".

and that is complete bullshit if you have no idea how long most reports take, and are only talking about your own experience in a single case – which, quite frankly, might not even be a cheater for all you know.

the fact that you once waited 30 minutes for the bus to come is almost completely meaningless for assessment of the quality of the public transportation system.

Sure. the guy played 150+ games, starting from 1200 elo to 1900+ with 95%+ accuracy, was probably reported by others, is still not ban, but the problem is my time perception. I m sorry, but i m not complaining because i was expecting my report to be dealt faster, but of the fact that you can cheat for so much games without repercussion.

i can accept the critic that i don't know how much report there is and how they are dealt. but seeing no problem with the case i presented is just turning a blind eye to the issue.

i agree it s really hard to catch people that cheat clever, but isn't it possible to do something for people who play better than grand masters for 100+ games?

No problem, Lichess developers have already solved this! If you give up before move 100 you will get a warning. That will show him!

get used to it, I reported one account with a 34 wins-1 draw - 0 loses against 2600 average players with 90%+ accuracy and reached 2900 as a result with such few games and he is still around, I suppose a "hikaru lichess account".
It seems that for mods unless people plays 1st move of stockfish always it is not cheating

And we have already told you that you were wrong.
It's unhealthy to continue obsessing about a game one had lost to a clearly better player over a month ago.
It's also inappropriate to insinuate things in the forum. Please stop and consider this an official warning.

Yes, I reported someone who was 100% cheating and he was not banned. I didn't even play against him, so I'm not hoping for points back. I just care about the integrity of the game. Someone who plays flawlessly in rapid despite having a puzzle rating of sub-1800 and blitz and bullet ratings of around 1300. Really makes me stink.

Do cheaters still get banned and rating points compensated? I used to report the obvious cases and they get dealt quickly, but recently nothing seems to be happening.

I reported a cheater with more than 100 games with 98 accuracy, 1 month to be banned, and rating didn't return because in 1 month i did millions of games (metaphor).
After a week he still hasn't been banned ... So I came to the forum to talk about ... (i cant talk)... yea I was banned first.
Be careful bro, if not you will be banned before. but this will close soon anyway. haha
