If the median is kept at 1500, wouldn’t this inflation simply mean that the strength of the median player got worse?
This seems logical, as there is much more growth at the bottom of the rating range than at the top.
I'm 1300 here but will never, ever reach that rating on the other site because the pool is constantly expanding.
Likewise, there are problems OTB with these unrated demons tearing up the tourneys.
I tend to ignore rating and count the scalps I've taken lol
Lichess should change system, glicko-2 works but it's not satisfying to beat someone 400 points higher and only win around +12 at most. Way too little, make us win at least +30 (and still lose 12 at most though, very important).
It's a crucial change for the future of lichess, I'm going to launch a petition right now.
^ how about if you beat someone higher rated than you, you switch ratings?
