RK is losing players

Guys I think this is actually good because less good players rn give intermediates a chance to rise up, and the new players to actually be able to play in tournaments without losing every game and gaining absolutely no experience. Overall, i think in a few years, instead of this variant dying, it will bloom with new players. We already saw GM blunderpanda joining and i believe in a few years people who seem terrible might even be better than the our OG royalmaniac!
Thank you all rk players love yall

On the other side I like when there are many good players because that equals more competition. And the stronger players I play the more interesting it is for me :)

Yeah, I agree. I could probably be like 1700 right now, but I keep getting cooked by ppl who are like 1800-2200.
And I bet there are others who are in a similar situation.

"The best way to get stronger is to play the people who already are."

TBH RK has always been (AFAICR) the least popular variant on Lichess.

maybe it is not that popular but when compared to crazyhouse or horde or three check it is popular. This is my opinion.

Statistically you would be wrong...

https://lichess.org/stat/rating/distribution/racingKings
https://lichess.org/stat/rating/distribution/crazyhouse
https://lichess.org/stat/rating/distribution/horde
https://lichess.org/stat/rating/distribution/threeCheck

Only 2.7k RK players this week...

Yes but best community?
Best teams?

best community is atomic

Nooo
