Anybody else getting bad puzzels?

I feel like some puzzels are not a great result after their solution.

I got a puzzel in which I get to lose my queen in exchange for 2 rooks? .. not that great..

Seen few too many with such terrible result not gaining anything.

The value of chess pieces, denominated in pawns:
Bishop = 3
Knight = 3
Rook = 5
Queen=9

Two rooks are worth more than a queen.
Trading a queen for two rooks is justified if you gain a positional advantage.

I have selected a studio for you that illustrates this with examples from the masters' games. (spaces need to be removed)

Puzzles that are truly wrong or have multiple solutions are extremely rare, but they do exist. More commonly the puzzle ends before it's obvious why you're winning, probably because there'd be multiple winning moves on the next move. Just turn on the engine if you don't understand. There's even an option to report the puzzle if the engine finds multiple solutions, not sure if there's one for reporting a puzzle with no win.

My beef with puzzles is the rating system. I can sometimes solve puzzles easily that are rated 2400+. Sometimes I fail to solve puzzles rated below 2100. Some of these are clearly much more difficult than the posted rating would indicate, at least from my limited perspective. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I do Puzzle Streak - where the rating steadily increases - and every now and then you get a big kink in the 'true' rating. I have assumed that new puzzles are fed in at the bottom as the kinky puzzles tended to have low usage rates. It can be annoying but some method has to be deployed. Just keep you eye on the usage rate, if it's below 1000 say, be wary.

I also do direct 2400+ puzzles and not noticed anything unusual, but at these levels you tend to see the solution either very quickly or have to work pretty hard, so hard to tell. But you definitely 'feel' the kinks in Puzzle Streak.

There are also some naturally 'kinky' puzzles, i.e. you see two moves to win a Queen missing a mate-in-one, etc.

In chess, the position is way more important than the material advantage. If you want you can share the puzzle position here.
