Guys, rules are rules - only change it once and only the capitalization and no exceptions
I'm not saying I agree that they should allow people to change their names That's a whole other can of worms, but the logic people are using to shut them down makes me scratch my head. "Rules are rules"? Yes but rules were made by people and can be changed by people! If this logic were valid we would not have women voting and there would still be slavery in the USA.
It's not just humanmade rules in this case, it's a lot of technical reasons and necessities!
Usernames are supposed to be unique identifiers, so that people know that your account is yours. Abuse aside, changing it would defeat the purpose.
As a result, usernames are used as IDs in the database and cannot be changed.
If for some reason you need to change your username, you would have to close your account and create a new one. But be reminded that excessive closure/creation of new accounts will be considered as abusive behavior and treated as such.
I think we should be allowed to change your name once.
