Can a maximum be enforced for time and inc?
I often see challenges like 180 180 which could lead to an 8-10 hoor game.
I assume they meant something like 3 3.

If you don't want to play a time control then just don't accept games with that time control. Having it available is harmless. I don't see a reason why arbitrarily long controls shouldn't be allowed other than it being hard to make an infinitely long slider control.
People just use this time control to joke. They usually don't intend to play a super long game. Nevertheless I avoid these challenges too.
