I've been playing a lot of 1 minute games and I have been getting points back a lot recently.
My question is how is it possible to cheat on 1 minute games in the first place?

They make bots that play moves automatically. Sounds like bored programmers trying out their cheat toys

Basically they probably have done browser plugin that scans the board and invokes an engine to analyze. And as you have observed they do get caught because this kind of automated behavior can usually be detected automatically as well.

Black used the same time per move: either 0.88 or 0.96 seconds.

the cheating has moved to faster time controls, i remember when i started playing during the pandemic, experienced players told me to play longer time controls, so I started at 15+10, then the people flooded in and there was a lot of cheating, I moved to 10 min games, then the cheating caught there, then I moved to 5 blitz, then that got popular and cheaters went there, now they are in the 1 min, there is nothing you can do about it, and no I dont need reassurance about he 0.00010 whatever % the cheaters are, this situation I described happened on other site I got refunded quite often, more than it was comfortable

Thanks guys.
My worry is that if there is an engine plug in that also has a time delay setting built in - which can easily be made to be based on the number of different lines the engine is considering - it would be VERY difficult to spot cheating. You could also put code in to choose sub optimal lines at certain times as long as you are still winning, and again its hard.

Do you have examples?
To me, the game tpr shared just looks like two humans playing bullet and playing it badly. If someone goes to the effort of programming a bot, I'd expect them to play stronger.
I've won 1 0 games where I used less than ten seconds on my clock. Maybe my opponents suspect I'm cheating but they just blunder badly at the start and after that I think on their time and premove.

Congratulations on your promotion!
You are clearly one of the leading figures and are presumably the chief investigator of the Lichess Anti-Cheating Commission.
