"I know many people treat Roblox as 'brainrot' for kids, but keep in mind that Roblox in 2015–2020 wasn't the same as Roblox in 2024–2026. Anyway, one of my favorite games was Monster Islands (https://www.roblox.com/games/10487699/Monster-Islands). It's basically a classic RPG, with a story, weapons, etc.—very old, from around 2009. I really enjoyed it as a kid.
Now, when I play it, it's still kind of fun, but it feels odd—like something is very wrong. I remember this game being so active, with so many players, and now it’s silent, with nearly no one. I know it was so long ago, but I also know that this... will never come back."
"Personally, I remember many games that I played in the past, but they are so deeply hidden that I will probably never find them. At least I can play this one, some of them are completely unplayable. It kind of sucks."

I mean I was already a full-grown adult in my 20s when Roblox launched so I have never played it.
What I've heard of it, it sounded like a dumpster fire.
See, I'm a millennial, when I was a kid we didn't have as many games that are online and all that. Also I've seen plenty of series go from popular to irrelevant. Guitar Hero. Tony Hawk. Sims if you're someone who never moved to Sims 4, sure there are still communities for Sims 2 and Sims 3 but Sims 4 is pretty much a straight-up cash grab at this point.

Funnily enough, games that were big when I was growing up - at least in my teens like Morrowind, Age of Empires, Warcraft, World of Warcraft, Diablo II, runescape, everquest, etc. still have huge dedicated fanbases.

I guess I'm old school; I have zero interest in any video game that requires the internet.
