Trying Gambit play is sometimes better than keeping rating points

Trying exciting gambit play is sometimes better than fearfully hanging on to not loosing rating points, or?

I play the computer at level 2 to feed my psychopathic angst against having to calculate or deal with a loss. You don't get the variations you want though. I mostly start my games from a position in a specific variation which lasts about 1 or 2 moves. Level 3 and 4 are better but then I actually have to calculate or will lose.

Destroying the computer is therapeutic.
Does nothing for improvement though.

@LStein Not sure, because I never hang on to the rating points, no matter what I try, so gambit play is the only game in town. I love it.
