Warning for playing on time.

I consider the ban in bullet for playing on time to be unjustified. I always play fair and I got a warning for playing on time, let me think about it :-)

What was that message?

I have played thousands of bullet games, most decided on the clock, and never seen such a warning.

@wisior what did the warning say? there is no warning that says "playing on time"

The point is that the position was lost and I didn't see it and thought for 20 seconds and then gave up 2 seconds before the timer ran out. According to lichess, this deserved a warning and a ban threat.

@wisior if its just 1 warning you are fine if you keep getting then you need to resign earlier or keep playing.
It triggers when you use most of your time then resign

I know what I have to do, I wrote that I disagree with it :-) in my opinion it is unnecessary in bullet.

It should be clearly stated somewhere how long I can ponder on a particular game before I get a warning.

then people would abuse it by doing 1 second less

Ah, that's not playing on time, but stalling. It might trigger a false positive now and then.

Having experienced quite some rage quitters in bullet lately (and stalling being the precursor to that), I think we should keep the warnings and punishment for repeat offenders.

They should remove the popup warnings and the chat warnings entirely. I'd rather be temporarily banned than have to read those all the time. Or they could just make the warnings a one-time warning. Close, then never read again. Maybe a "don't show this warning again" checkbox or whatever.
