Nice!
Btw, will the participants be excluded from the FIDE World Championship cycle? :)
(I'm not playing crazyhouse, I'm just curious.)

The CWC is open to the whole community, and there is no rating limit. Accounts must be at least 2 months old, and need to have played 50 rated crazyhouse games to enter.

For anyone who wants to play, there is still time to get some games in.

I'm a long way from trying to learn any variants, so I'll pass on this. As it stands, until I get a coach who can genuinely establish trust before reaching for my wallet (a process that is frozen because the two queries I had out were nightmares), the game analysis piece that I know I need to be able to highlight where I'm weak is out of reach because under no cirumstances will I let stockfish or any form of AI do my game analysis.

I'm curious why you don't think using stockfish to analyse your games might be somewhat useful? Obviously, a good, trustworthy human coach who can explain ideas and concepts and tailor it to suit your individual needs is better than just an engine, but in the absence of that, surely the engine, perhaps in conjunction with the opening explorer can at least give some basic pointers?

I'm neurodivergent, diagnosed as such (Asperger's Syndrome) during an era when such diagnoses were made a lot more carefully than they are now. Without an explanation of the "why" to go along with a particular line, good, bad, or indifferent, exploring a game after the fact is worthless on an engine alone. Telling me my position is +2.5, for instance, and just showing me what a possible sequence of moves is following that doesn't tell me anything of use because my brain can't process that information on its own. I need more details than those tools can offer. No Lichess or Chessable study in the world is of use without more concrete insights on what skills I should be working on. That requires a coach, whether you want to agree with that or not.

It's also why I am 100% against using engines or any form of AI to analyze games. Same problem. It has to be with a live human or not at all, and this is where it gets complicated. Give me a reason to think that you're after my wallet before a sincere attempt to establish a coaching fit is established, and the conversation will end quickly. Ask the US Chess Academy. Ask WIM Jovana Milosevic, who I reached out to from here only to break negotiations off when I suspected she was only telling me what I wanted to hear and not making a genuine effort to ask the kind of two-way questions that need to be asked to figure out if a fit exists on both ends. That coach search process is on permanent hold because I am not in a space where I am willing to go through the stress that it would be worth to find the right person.

I realize that may take you aback a little, but you asked and this is one of those things where I will be no-holds-barred about where my personal priniciples are.
