European Open Antichess Tournament 2022 June 11-12.

Dear everyone.

We have organised a date and a venue for the Open European Championships 2022.
The date is June 11 and 12 next year. The venue is ‘’De Raadsheer’’ in Amsterdam:
https://www.svderaadsheer.nl/
The venue has room for 80 players.

We are still discussing the format, game length and other things that are important.
It will also be the Dutch Championships simultaneously, so we expect the Dutch players to outnumber the others.

We will reserve 50 spots for Lichess players until around November, so if you’re interested, please let us know and we will put you on the preliminary list.
At the end of the year, we will ask these players if they can transfer a small fee (for lunch and maybe prizes) within a certain amount of time. If players don’t transfer that amount, we will assume you lost interest and give the spot to another player.

In the meantime, we will focus on all organisational issues and keep you posted on progress and decisions.

‘’who is this we?’’
Richard and André are the organisational committee. We will both not play in the tournament.
Our main goal is to organise this and make sure it will be worthy of an event under the IAF flag!
De Raadsheer is another important partner and we can only organise things with their agreement. We are very grateful we can (apart from Lunch and unforeseen costs) offer everything basically for free.

So, if you are interested or have any other questions, please let me know.

Cheers.

@BBLGL
I can't enter the link you gave, so I'd like it if you could provide a short description.
How can I reserve a spot for myself?
Thanks in advance

Hi @Doeheis.

I'll put you on the list and sometime in the fall I'll ask you to send me the small fee that is needed.
But until then, You're in!

@BBLGL the link you gave, doesn't work outside the Netherlands. So, would you be kind enough to send some screenshots?

@Doeheis:
I'm at a loss here :-)
You want a description of the chesswebsite?
The format of the tournament is still being discussed, so that information will be available when we have it.

@SarangSule:
I've never heard about that.
If the link doesn't work, you can google ''Raadsheer Kattenburgerstraat'' and you'll get a link to the venue.

Oh, It's that close to Centraal station? How come I didn't notice it when I last visited Amsterdam?

Because there's basically nothing interesting there for tourists :-)
