I was overall starting to get better at chess and this loss wrecked my rhyme.
Start using your time. You had 30 minutes at the start and by the end you had only used 5. You spent 10 seconds on a rook hang. Use your time, watch your pieces.
@J_SEDA_conant Ty for the advice I let my opponent's significantly higher ranking go to my head and played way too fast in hindsight.
@TimurKocharin I will try. @J_SEDA_conant How long should I wait to make a move?

Play quick in the opening (but try not to blunder). During the middlegame, make a plan and try to execute the plan (without blundering). Take maybe 10 seconds in the opening, and about 1-2 minutes middlegame. In the endgame, it varies. Complex positions should be thought about for 2 minutes, simple position maybe 30 seconds. It all depends on how fast and efficient you calculate. Also, play with increment in case you get low on time.

Depends on a position, in the time control 30+0 30sec in a normal position is ok, in a critical one 2-3 min
@TimurKocharin I listened to my intention and took 30 seconds per move and ended up getting a checkmate
Thank you once again for your very helpful advice.

Don't worry, IMO there is nothing "special" with this game. You played pretty much on the level your rating is showing.
Keep on practicing tactics, for example puzzle storm and try to get a higher score day by day.
AND have fun!
