Five Reasons Why You Should Try Atomic Chess

@BetrayedBySomeone said ^

when i started playing atomic, my standard (fide) rating went up by 100, rapid (fide) rating went up by 60 , ultra went up by 200, bullet went up by 150 and blitz went up by 80...

So playing atomic is beneficial for standard chess rating

Correlation =/= causation.

i dont understand

It may be a coincidence.

He means that two things that may be seemingly related (in this case 1. playing atomic and 2. increase in rating of normal chess at the same time) doesn't mean they cause each other e.g. playing atomic didn't necessarily make him a better chess player - maybe it was just coincidental and effectively random that those two events happened at the same time.

First of all, Nice blog sir @JakeStateFarm
So in my opinion the atomic is bennefical for standart chess, but not in the game, the atomic is good to improve your opening thinking, mainly for black the goal of atomic is out of common Theory or leave the game for your style, and this can happen in standart too, im dont talk about memorization but about confort in your opening choice to give you a better mid/end game chances, that is the thing that i learn with atomic .
And the another thing is that the SCAM is the way for win XD.

If a beginner averages 15 moves, and I am happy to survive 5, what does that make me? xD
