Hello,
I just lost a game on time that I thought should be drawn. I was about to promote a pawn. The only material my opponent had was a knight. I ran out of time. Shouldn't that be a draw?
Thank you

If you promote your pawn and corner yourself then your opponent could possibly checkmate you so it’s not a draw.

These positions are draws by insufficient material:

Everything else will result in a loss if you timeout.
