Hello everyone! We decided to make a contest similar to "Game of the month" which Lichess holds. Post your best Racing Kings game (only one) played in July 2024. You have time to do it until August 10. 3 best games will be selected and annotated by 3-times World Champion @RoyalManiac. Note that best game doesn't necessarily mean best, accuracy-speaking or your highest rated win, more about some strategic or tactical beauty.

Unusual opening played against a higher rated opponent

I think mine would have to be this one:

I prepped this line as black for my rkwc match vs @ALucasM and was excited to get the chance to try it out, since it seemed like an interesting new idea that hasn’t been tested in high-level play as of this writing. I played my prep perfectly and was able to capitalize on a blunder by my opponent and finish out the game cleanly. Really proud of this one!
