In honor of GM Robert Fischer's introduction of the Fischer Random / Chess960 variant on June 19, 1996, we are holding this Memorial Team Battle with $500+ USD in Team, Individual and Streamer Guaranteed and Conditional Prizes!!! Players MUST join CSCA Open Events for eligibility for individual Player Prizes before the end of the event.

TEAM PRIZES: $200 USD Guaranteed ($100-60-40 paid to each team's leader/designated recipient).

PLAYER PRIZES: $200 USD Guaranteed (50-40-30-20-10 plus $10 to the players finishing at 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% of the total number of players, i.e., if 1,000 players play, the 50th, 100th, 150th, 200th and 250th players would win $10.) **IMPORTANT! Individual prizes are only available to members of CSCA Open Events team. Please join the team ahead of the end of the event to be eligible.**

STREAMER PRIZES: $100 USD Guaranteed ($50-30-20 to top 3 streamers) per below scoring formula.

CONDITIONAL PRIZES: For every 1,000 new players that join the CSCA Open Events Team during the event, an additional $50 in placements ($20 TEAM, $10 INDIVIDUAL, $10 PERCENTAGE and $10 STREAMER) will be added to the prize fund. For example, if 1,000 players join our team during the event, a $20 4th place team, $10 6th place player, $10 30% player and $10 4th place streamer will be added and awarded.

STREAMERS SCORING: Streamers’ scores calculated by formula [points/rating x 100]. For example: A streamer rated 2000 and scoring 20 points in the event would have a final prize score of 20/2000 x 100 or 1.

STREAMER RULES: To be ELIGIBLE for Streamers Competition, streamers MUST (a) be established streamers prior to May 1, 2026 with at least 100 followers (sorry, but new streamers are NOT eligible), (b) ENTER the streamers competition by providing the link to their stream to @AQL547 via Lichess message AHEAD of event start, (c) join tea, and play and stream throughout the entirety of the event, (d) engage in a bona fide (real) stream broadcast for purpose of maximizing viewers and followers, AND (e) play and stream fairly and in accordance with CSCA OE Team, Lichess and event rules.

INTEGRITY & DISQUALIFICATION: This tournament is intended only for honest players interested in competing with other honest players. Please know that games will be very carefully scrutinized for engine and other assistance use, both via computerized and manual methods by Lichess and the organizer.

If players are disqualified, the organizer may make any logical adjustment to the event, necessary to determine its winner, including removing the player's score from the team total, determining a team prize ineligible, reassignment of points or partial points by forfeit, holding a playoff invitational on a later date, replaying the event entirely, or other method. Likewise, the tie break may be changed/adjusted to any reasonable/generally acceptable method. Accordingly, to maximize your chances, regardless of occurrences of dishonesty, it is strongly suggested to all honest players to arrive on time and complete all rounds of the event, regardless of score from round to round.
