Beat the Jobava 2

Cool post, I stopped playing 4...b5 (in favour of 4...h6) a year ago due to Bortnyk's a3-b4 cause he just kept winning with it and the engine lines felt a bit weird. But this ...Ne4 idea after Bd3 is lwk kinda neat

I know you want to see the course in action so here's my first Jobava after releasing the blog:

I played another

Interesting move-order by White 7.Qe2 actually allows 9.Bb5+ I should've started with 7...Nbd7 instead, after 8.O-O c5 we would likely transpose

Pls don't judge this one is bullet

As soon as I took on h4 I realized I have to take on f2 instead, then take with the queen. But right now 3 out of 3 winning positions out of the opening, can't complain

@CkickyCheck
VERY nice blog!!
As I am not a fan of Jobava London, I am going to show you that Jobava is better for Black!!

  1. The Jobava has Nc3, blocking the c2-pawn, make the pawn less active( c3 or c4 should have been more active... Poor.)
  2. Black is better as Black developed the Knight, but not preventing the c7-pawn. Thus, Black is basically better at developing, and (sometimes) also can be better in the whole game!!
    So... Accelerated London is much better with Nf3. A kind of development, but c3/c4 move is ready to work!!

We can meet b5 with h4.
Multiple ideas for white there.

We can meet b5 with h4. Multiple ideas for white there.

In the blog I said

The way we want to meet g4 is h6 slowing White down, then a quick c5. White will have to play both g4 and h4 to justify their unprincipled decision, so 5.h4 h6 will transpose to a different 5th move.

The only independent line is 6.Bd3 7.Nce2! getting a better Banzea Variation, where h6 is a serious weakness. I faced 5.h4 6 times and every single time White went for g4 afterwards, so it's extremely rare (also 5.h4 6.Qf3 is covered). And I already didn't show anything concrete against the Banzea Variation, since even though it's more common without the inclusion of 5.h4 h6. If you know more ideas for White please share them if you want

Hmmm actually not bad, makes sense. Maybe add Nd2 after Bd6 as a interesting try
