yes pawn levers are crux of many positions and we should be aware of the possible pawn breaks in most of the common positions. Axel Smith discusses this topic in detail in his book "Pump Up Your Rating: Unlock Your Chess Potential ". and also the book "Chess Structures: A Grandmaster Guide: Standard Patterns and Plans Explained" by Chilean GM Mauricio Flores Rios covers this topic in detail (https://www.amazon.in/Chess-Structures-Mauricio-Flores-Rios/dp/1784830003). I recommend getting this book by GM Mauricio Flores Rios, and it is really good for chess improvement for club players I think

Excellent recommendation, I started reading chess structures about a week ago and it has been eye-opening, knowing what to do for both sides of each pawn structure gives me more confidence in the middle game. I'm still in the IQP chapter but I already had games that I applied those plans successfully.
