love this idea, and I will definitely try it out soon. Is there an option to hide the players, tournament, and year? This info might spoil the result to those who have an encyclopedic knowledge of famous games. Cheers!

Hey, love the idea and it was a great experience... but there are some significant bugs.
System Note: I'm on a Macbook Pro Arm64 running Chrome Version 133.0.6943.99
- After finishing a game, clicking "analyze" sometimes opens two separate analysis tabs on lichess
- The GM game was NOT pre-populated on the lichess analysis, and the game was not in lichess' masters database (since it was a Titled Tuesday game), so there was no convenient way to find the GM game. Furthermore, the GM game was mentioned right before starting the blitz game for only a few seconds. This makes it very difficult for the user to find the GM game.
- After finishing my first game and exiting to main menu, when I tried to find another quick pairing, I was redirected to my first game's board on your website. This makes it impossible for me to find another pairing after playing one game.
Hope this is helpful, and let me know if you have any questions on reproducing the bugs :)
Cheers, from one dev to another

good idea the linkage to Lichess (not tried yet) and then the discussiong premises... Lichess has tools for that but the mindscape might be lacking in the chess culture media (whatever that is...).

Thanks for the feedback, it's definitely helpful!

Does it open 2 new tabs or does it open 1 new tab and also redirect you in the current tab?
-
Yes, finding the masters game is not a feature at the moment. Sometimes the games are in the lichess db by chance. I will soon make an update that adds another button to the post game view, which will bring you straight to the original masters game. This way you can compare with your game.

This is intentional. You have to press 'exit game' to be able to start a new one. I see how it can be confusing though.

This was surprisingly fun! Only comment: waiting for an opponent you have no clue how long it will take. It would be great to be shown something like "X players active". Because right now you wait there guessing if there even is anyone else using this site or not.
Also some way to rewatch the starting animation of the previous moves would be nice. I get that it isnt technicly necessary but sometimes it would really help me to figure out how the game went so far, when i miss the first time it plays.

@pablowa Thanks for the feedback, I will put that on the list.
@Caleb-bynum1 I added a feature that allows you to view the original masters game after your match finishes.
