Love it. So great that you paid especial notice on Afruza and Song. And in the example, brilliant to have Batsiashvilli. If you watch her games you'll find she's one of the most exciting castle-siege producers these days. The brilliant moves she play are simply out-of-consideration style for many of today's positional players.
How would you deal with Candidates qualification though with double the field?
During lockdown a shift to hybrid seemed eminent. High level chess, comprising open and women's sections, was not to be restricted to those who can financially commit to a tourist lifestyle. Players would simply travel to a comparatively nearby venue where they would be invigilated playing online against opponents from all over the world. Finally we would see who really will come first through talent and determination. Then lockdown was lifted and FIDE decided chess should remain connected to airplanes and lengthy hotel stays as closely as possible.
I agree same people always that's why the GCT is so boring as well I would like if they had some rapid and blitz events that maybe reward less points and maybe 20 players or. 21 players out of the 40 mentioned its a shame that like nobody gets a chance but the top of the top.
