von Scheve - Teichmann, Berlin, 1907
The Other Lasker's NotesHeld in the Cafe Karau, the Berlin Chess Association's 5th Jubilee Tournament matched some of the best German chess players against each other. In round 9, Theodor von Scheve and Richard Teichmann played the Italian Game.
Prussian artillery major Theodor von Scheve's studious approach to chess allowed him to convert a positional advantage into a win against the strongest players of his time. Endgame-study composer Richard Teichmann's cautious play frequently provided him with solid positions, leading to meticulous, attritional endgames.
Edward Lasker annotated the game in 1915.
