Alireza Firoujza simply stunned in this event, decisively winning the recently upped $625 top prize!

In other words, Alireza can now afford another pair of socks!

All joke aside, let's break down another fantastic tournament.

Assuming first place towards the latter half, Alireza would not relinquish his lead to fellow GMs @arka50, @Feeglood, or @RebeccaHarris (Daniel Naroditsky).

In his last 49 games, he went 39-5-5 with several massive win streaks. He actually played better as the event progressed!

Partially because of those win streak bonuses, he would only have to berserk 7% of his total games.

Alireza still ended up winning by a whopping 38 points!

Rounding out the top 5 that finished in the prize money were GM Sergei Zhigalko, GM Oleksander Bortnyk, CM Kostantin Kornienko, and anonymous GM "Chameleon3".

Fan favorite Daniel Naroditsky made a late run for the prize money but ultimately fell short by just 1 point, finishing in 7th.
