So as you probably already know, poodles tend to stick to the same openings and it can get quite boring

So as you probably already know, poodles tend to stick to the same openings and it can get quite boring after a while (my poodle in the picture). My poodle in particular usually plays the Queen's Pawn Opening when she is white, and almost always plays the Scandinavian Defence when up against e4.
Yes, she has become quite an expert at those openings but I personally think that it is time for her to branch out and maybe try something else.
Poodles can be quite stubborn, not necessarily willing to try out new things, especially when they are doing fine with the old. But. Why not?
I think you should encourage your poodle to play some casual games, and just experiment new opening ideas, I'm not saying your poodle should study or read books, just figure it out for themselves.
When you get to a certain rating in chess, it is definitely a good idea to range how you play in the opening so your opponent doesn't know what you are going to do.
