Anish Kumar Giri is a Dutch Super Grandmaster. No.1 in the Netherlands. He completed the Grandmaster title in just 14 years. He is the 4 time Dutch champion, and he had represented Netherland in olympiad 5 times. Recently, He won the Tala Steel chess championship 2023 held in Wijk aan Zee, the Netherlands by winning 8.5 points from 13. He defeated Magnus Calsen, Ding Liren, Gukesh Dommaraju and Richard Rapport.
That was his first ever Tata Steel win and he was the 4th Dutchman to do so. he defeated Magnus Calsen in a Over the Board tournament after 12 years, Becoming the 1st player to defeat 2 2800+ players in the same tournament.
