Chess Heatmaps

A long time ago, I read a blog post (link) where it made a heatmap of chess moves. I thought maybe I should do it myself. Maybe add a little bit of time too... Since all my blog post has been about 1+0 bullet chess. I decided to make a gif of that.

But then came the idea. Why shouldn't I see how all pieces move around?

Bishop and Knights

These are by move number.
These are Knights!

These are Bishops!

Maybe you don't like the dots squirming, but it looks better that way :). The pieces were sampled from 200 random 1+0 bullet games.
For some of you who like King moves, I sampled 400 games because Kings are special. Some Kings go wild.

Future posts

Thank you for all the comments and interest in my last post about violated and closed accounts. I have read most of the comments and have been thinking of ways to enhance my analysis. I have not been able to come out with specifics but I am waiting to work with the latest June 2023 game dataset to write my next post about violation. I will have some other posts before then.
