Why cannot we have on the app when we use the analysis chessboard the filter to select the games that have been played by Lichess player? This is a big thing missing in the app from my point of view.. so far you only find the GM games.
I'm not sure what it is but the beta app feels much faster than playing via the browser.
In terms of game play / delays etc.
I like it I was just wondering whether its just perceived or whether its a specific change you made.

The current app sometimes has trouble connecting to the internet on my phone and I was patiently awaiting a new release for months now. This news explains why there was no new release for so long, and I am excited to see how it turns out!
I really hope that this app will get all the functionality of the website, including studies, tournaments, clubs etc., so I can do all my lichess-ing on one platform while sitting on the porcelain-throne without having to use my browser.
No option to play against stockfish?! Why?
Either it's moved somewhere weird or there is now no way to mute the sound of pieces moving?

Let me comment on the beta version.
I do like it but not quite as much.
The reason is, you can't view broadcast on it like you'd do on normal website version, not even possible on non-beta application.
Next, it is impossible to play against computer there, I was expecting to play against directly stockfish 16. Joining games isn't as easy either, you won't be able to see much options available yet I'd keep the application. I like its dark icon.
it is almost practically useless without tournaments !! who's got the idea to remove the tournaments ?!

It says at the bottom of the blog that they are not getting rid of it, but its functionality will not be updated any longer.
Nice, but how can you challenge BOT MAIA to the game? I use a samsung Tablet.
