I ask because I doubt sure the conclusions you want to draw will follow if you change your claims to be ones about the median like you propose. Most people will read this as something about where they can reasonably predict their chess ability to start declining. The median is irrelevant to that.

All due respect, I’m always a bit confused when an unrated player throws blanket judgement over GMs or top GMs.

If you don’t have norms, tournament performance or just valid FIDE rating to back up your words, there’s definitely a big chunk of knowledge of the game that eludes you, and you are not in a position to give lessons to anyone.
