Made them playable here:

https://delicate-empanada-19a65e.netlify.app/

Enjoy

Can you add a link to Lichess analysis of the same position?

Wow nice!

I also made a website at https://positional-chess-puzzles.vercel.app/ if people have feedback, let me know. Trying to learn coding.

Nicely done! This is a really cool app.

Quick question: where is the generated positional analysis coming from? Is it AI-generated or written manually?

I noticed a couple of things that might be worth double-checking. For example, in the first puzzle, the explanation mentions “...prepares to develop the light-squared bishop to b7,” but the bishop is already developed on f5.

In this position (4th puzzle under difficulty 1):

https://lichess.org/GmIJzPfh#15

The explanation says:
“...This gains valuable space and initiative, allowing Black to develop the queenside quickly. Moves like Be7 or Nf6 are too slow here and don't address the annoying pressure on the c6 knight.”

My understanding is that the key idea here is more about unpinning the knight, which creates a tactical threat on the queen. White needs to find Qc3 to avoid losing material. Also, Nf6 isn't just slow, it loses to exf6.

I figured it was worth pointing out since the app is great, but AI is giving inaccurate explanations. I only checked a couple puzzles, so it might be worth reviewing a few more.

Thanks to both of you. Wish you too can combine to solve this:

  1. Netlify app design is good but the Vercel app way of showing the entire list (2000+) in a sidebar is great.
  2. Vercel app design is unreadable at the moment. If you can bring the styles (Color, typography) from the Netlify app, that would make it way better.

That's what stopping me to go through the websites. Idea is great though, I wanted to do that manually.

Thanks! Yes the explanation is AI-generated. I ran out of tokens and had to use fast generation ... Definitely needs more improvement

I'd like to thank the authors, this looks like a good training material! And as a future user of this positions, I thank to the coders who made the apps.
