How to Play Good Chess When Everything Else Goes Bad

Now I am retired and can play chess whenever I want. When I was playing professionally no one asked my opinion as well if I want to play or not. I was just training and playing tournaments.

If you are not a full-time playing professional this might be the biggest benefit - playing chess whenever you want to play!

Alright. so you had a real sporting career ! Just a question : you decided yourself where you would play or did your coach decide which tournament you would go to?
