The Legend of 1900 (Elo)

@ZugAddict said ^

Hey, so I'm thinking of revamping this idea into under 2000 because restricting it to 1900-1999 narrows whatever interest there is in this a bit too much. I'm also thinking of hosting a qualifier but with an unusual condition - the goal will be to score the closest to the middle amount of points (based on whatever the highest point total happens to be). What do you think? :)

This seems pretty fun I'd say. Can go with it perhaps like top 5 players and top 5 closest to the middle qualifies something like that

My idea for formatting this:

The first tournament should be below 2000 but with a 2100 peak. This would probably have around 100 players.

The top 3 players and the 2 people right after 25% and 3 people in the middle (50%), and 2 random people should be admitted into a 9 round Round Robin, swiss should work as there are 10 people. Then Zug should not look at any of the usernames, and then view and rate every game without knowing the players. Another person should look at the usernames and keep track of what the scores are. In this tournament, if you resign, you’re disqualified. You also can’t purposefully stall.

Scoring system:

For the winners:

{Swindle: 3 points
Epic Swindle: 5 points
How in the world were you able to win this game???: 10 points}

{Brilliant Win: 5 points
REALLY Brilliant Win: 10 points}

{Dirty Flag: 3 points
Epic Dirty Flag: 7 points.}

{Showing disrespect to your opponent with your moves: 3 points
Mating with 6 of any piece (besides pawns): 5 points.}

For losers:

Getting trolled by your opponent: 2 points
Losing in a brilliant way: 3 points
Getting swindled by your opponent (More than 3 points of material.): 3 points
Losing with a king walk in the first 20 moves: 2 points
Getting dirty flagged: 2 points.
Resigning: Disqualification

For both(Can be claimed once per game at most for each thing)
Hanging your queen and getting away with it: 1 point
Hanging mate in 1 and getting away with it: 1 point
Hanging your rook and getting away with it: 1 point

The one with the most points should qualify for the 1v1 match with a similar scoring structure for bigger prizes!

Please take all this into consideration and tell me if it’ll get accepted!
