Why me and @aVague???
We invent our own way of chess strategies, psychology etc...
You can see our work & it's effectiveness.

If you read #18 carefully you'll find it has nothing to do with your strategies etc.

It is indeed worth taking a closer look at such posts. The OP plays his games almost exclusively against stronger opponents and rarely competes against weaker ones. Furthermore, his win rate in rapid and blitz is roughly similar: on average, just 37%.

And that's exactly what we see here: every now and then, he proudly posts a victory against a 1900 player. If we look at the probability of winning for a player with 1500 points against a player with 1900 points, we see that the 1500 player has about a 10% chance of winning (i.e. 1 in 10 games). And that is then ‘marketed’ here.

How embarrassing some people find it that you have to post every victory against a higher rated opponent is something everyone has to decide for themselves – but it is what it is: sometimes you win and sometimes you lose; no magic.

Ehh.. First of all the user's rating has been on the rise pretty much consistently since he created his account:

Secondly , of course a player 1600ish rated is not going to have a positive score against folks rated say 300-400elo above you or more.
I admite the user's courage and desire to take on higher rated folks and there's nothing wrong to show some victories from opponents much higher than you.Is the user claiming for instance to be a better player than them or winning them more often than losing? No but he is showing that he can beat them often and give those folks a game.

Thirdly : I hate to serve you some of your own medicine but there's section in the chat etiquette called "public shaming" and the rhetoric you use in your post indicated very much that for instance "How embarrassing some people find it that you have to post every victory against a higher rated opponent". Why must one be embarrassed? Why must one be ashamed. And also perhaps the user is looking for generic feedback to his game and analysis aside from "bragging" if you can label it as such which I won't , in which case it would of been useful to actually give him some if you are capable to even do so instead of try to put the lad down .

Just to poke in here again on this. I don't mind posting wins in here, I just think spamming with the brag is annoying. And it's quite obvious that is what he is doing. Personally I don't want to block people, but I guess if I have to in order to start seeing worthy posts, I should start doing it. But in my opinion, I would love to see more posts where people want to actually talk chess improvement. That art is lost in my opinion! I personally think he should be free to express himself how he wants for sure, but like I said. His posts are probably more suited for blogs and putting them in groups.
