After 1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 Nc6 3 Nc3 d6 4 Bc4 Bg4 5 Bxf7+ Kxf7, White is, as far as I can tell, lost. When I try it, the machine says that 5 h3 would have been the best move.

It's a cloud issue. Someone likely imported the wrong analysis when contributing to lichess cloud analysis, resulting in this behavior:

I'd recommend you put it onto bug reports

I don't know how to put it in the bug reports. Have never done it before. Can you please provide a link maybe?
