As near as I can tell, the machine is intended to provide improvements for the moves that were actually played. Notice that the machine indicates that, after 1 d4 d5 2 Nc3 Bf5 3 Nf3 e6 4 e4 dxe4 5 Ne5 f6 6 Nc4 Bb4 7 d5 exd5 8 Nd2 d4 9 Qh5+, bixbix might have gone for 9...g6. What would you have done then?
The machine apparently thinks that you could have done a little better with 9 Nb5 instead of 9 Qh5+, but it would still have been pretty bad for you after 9 Nb5 e3.
