see that SF recommendation, it allows to treated mate, so opp forced to exchange and after knight is protecting passed pawn by luck or by some kind or rule that allows such calculation?

Standard engines tell you THAT you messed up, but rarely WHY. I like checking games on the iOS app 'ChessMinds · Chess Coach' (App Store) because it highlights the actual turning points in human terms.
well here I don't think some engine or programs would explain why such lucky case happened, we need something special to see rules behind it I think

You are a pawn up. Rb5 forces a trade and a N vs. B endgame, where your extra pawn prevails.
With ...Ne8? you give up your extra pawn to Bxc3.

You used ~10 seconds to choose 34 Ne8. My guess is that the potential of 34 Rb5 is something that would be noticed by those who used more time to examine the position.

I am fairly sure that I would not have noticed the 34 Rb5 possibility with any time control, but I would still venture to guess that a player would have better chances of spotting the possibility while giving more than ~10 seconds of thought to the matter.

well hard to say, if you overthinking , you re wasting more mind energy and it can overtense giving worse results while long thinking I believe

My own brain overheats pretty easily these days, but, back when I was active, my opponents managed to think for more than 10 seconds for a move without manifesting any ill effects that I noticed.

By the way, in the CPWN18 game, I think that, although they would not have been as good as 34 Rb5, the alternatives, 34 Nb5 or 34 Ne4, would still have been good enough for some advantage.
