Well, of course resigning gives up every chance for a saving draw. Nevertheless, in a serious game (not bullet - but classical), resigning is probably the best thing you can do against an Opponent who's clearly as strong or stronger than you.

But is it? I mean, once again, I dislike it myself, but is it really against the spirit of the game? Bobby Fischer once said that chess was about crushing one's Opponent's ego - and humiliation does crush egos quite well. Of course, we have to remind ourselves that this was a bullet game, so it shouldn't be taken too serious, I guess. But it was totally unnecessary (even while being fun).

I will. Afterall, I have never had such an opportunity and don't play bullet all too often.
