Why was a move that wins material an inaccuracy?

I played this game in correspondence and got my queen pinned to my rook. I moved my queen and lost my rook and genuinly I was like why am I so bad at chess and was about to resign, but I still played it and ended up winning. After the game the engine actually said that the move was a losing move that gave me a 0.5 extra advantage. (18 Bb4)

The bishop is strong on the a1-h8 diagonal, potentially compromising the safety of Black's king. The rook, in contrast, appears to be doing nothing on f8. Therefore, one could say the bishop is stronger (and thus worth more) than the rook, and trading the pieces wastes White's aforementioned positional advantage.

The pair of bishops (the „Hermaphrodite“, Rowson) is stronger than 2x a single bishop. Here especially the one with no counter-bishop is a force.

-0.5 isn't "losing."

My guess is that Mate_in_threee was looking at something like “18 Bb4?! (-0.94 —> -1.63)” and thinking that 18 Bb4 apparently pushed kispisti over the edge into “losing”.
