1 e4 usually leads to sharper play and more attacking opportunities than 1 d4. At the top level, players are flexible and it's not either/or. Most world champions included both 1 e4 and 1 d4 (and other first moves) in their repertoire with some exceptions
Fischer, Kasimdzhanov - strong preference for 1 e4
Botvinnik, Petrosian, Khalifman, Ding - strong preference for 1 d4

I play both pretty much equally, but have a slight preference for 1. d4.

I have played 1. e4 more often than 1. d4, but this is not a preference. I don't know the 1. d4 openings as well. However, I play 1. d4 much more often than I once did.

e4. I'm a very aggressive player, and I usually use the kings gambit or scotch

I like playing e4 against weaker players, but usually it depends on what kind of game I feel like playing that day. e4 feels like a very direct move

I sometimes play d4 when I'm intimidated because d4 or some other complicated opening is what I like to play in correspondence

I’m guessing you play 1. e3 the most is because you frequently play Ultrabullet and Bullet?
