Any Online Chess League for classical lovers?

Begging and excessive self degradation won't help

Begging and excessive self degradation won't help

I want to put in a strong recommendation for the HCC lichess.org/team/club-dechecs-de-hemmingford-chess-club - The organizer, @datasmith, regularly runs quad tournaments (6 rounds, where you play the other 3 people twice, once as White and once as Black) where you are matched against people with very similar ratings in a G/60 + 30 sec / move format. You arrange the match with your opponent (we have players from all around the globe), and @datasmith even usually does a writeup or video after each round. It's been fun, the chess has been greatly competitive, and I've made some new friends in the process. If you want good consistent classical games against people at your level, it's hard to beat.

I see there's been some discussion about various 60+30 events and that the OP has signed up for one. Maybe it goes without saying (or should), but these events can be big time commitments. Those are potentially 3 hour games and if you get matched up with someone on the other side of the world, it can be difficult to find a time that works for both players. So you have to be flexible and willing to compromise.

I participate in a couple of these events and recently we've had lots of problems with players who sign up but then never show for games, or never even respond to messages to set up games. It can be a frustrating waste of time (imagine you rearrange your schedule to fit in a 3 hour game and then the opponent doesn't show up). So, please only sign up for these types of events if you are serious about them.

@borninthesixties I am serious about it. As I mentioned before,I love classical chess and there is a dearth of OTB classical tournaments in my area which is why I applied.I satisfy all the rules mentioned on the lonewolf website.I have a provisional rating and no history of cheating. There has to be some mistake.

That's great! My comment wasn't really directed at you but was more general in nature. I participate in the CTCL (Grand Swiss Classic 2023 and CTCL4 for team THINK) and we're had quite a few no-shows lately which is why I made the comment.

I don't know anything about the other leagues or events you mentioned (lonewolf) but hope you can work it out with them!

Could anyone help me out?

We can't help your impatience or the fact that you potentially may be hiding something.

@Cedur216 I have nothing to hide. I am just trying to understand

Do I have to play more games?20?30? I just want to know the reason so that I can fulfil that and reapply later.I havent cheated nor have I been disrepectful. Sending a vague email saying that I haven't satisfies a criteria isnt helpful.

i'm being told that the reply you received contained

Your eligibility status cannot be changed

that is not really vague. it doesn't say that you just have to meet one more criterion, and you only have to find out which one. it clearly states that you will not be accepted into the lonewolf league.

i suggest participating in one of the nice projects suggested to you in this topic, where they will appreciate you; there's really no reason to be hung up on the one that obviously isn't interested in you.
