Many in the community have stated Silman's HTRYC to be the source of their improvement, though I do not feel that it has been beneficial for my chess.

The elements part seems easy so where should ond start reading it. Also its a lot harder to understand what the author says

...at the age of 68. In 2018 he was still rated 2386 (that was one year after the book was published).

Also known as coach of quite a few players who reached the GM title.
