#18 Scandinavian is considered dubious by many and the engine u can never rate it over french

Scandinavian is not dubious at all.
It has been played in major tournaments by many grandmasters: Larsen, Anand, Carlsen...
French, Caro-Kann, and Scandinavian have in common to counter 1 e4 with 2... or 1...d5.
As said before Botvinnik gave up the French for the Caro-Kann, so in his expert opinion Caro-Kann > French
As said before Larsen came to play Scandinavian over Caro-Kann and gave some arguments why, so in his expert opinion Scandinavian > Caro-Kann
Nobody knows for sure

#21 if Larsen could beat Karpov with the Scandi then you can beat some internet patzer with it.

In practice, all three seem to give you fairly similar chances at a "normal" sort of level. The disadvantage of the Scandi, IMO, is that you'll tend to get exactly the same d4 vs e6 structure in basically every game you play against e4. The Caro gives you a more interesting range of structures, without too much risk (again, at my level) of ending up in a super-sharp line against a booked-up opponent...
