Wow
Sindarov is playing so well! I'm really glad I watched the Candidates this year. I don't know when we'll get to see someone with that score again in the first half of this tournament...
The only bad thing is that (basically) the Candidates were already finished about a week ago.

He thanked two secret helpers he didn't want to name until after the world championship. Any guesses?
Nobody has dominated a candidates tournament in this manner. Candidates matches, yes - Fischer, Karpov and Kasparov come to mind - but to maintain such a lead in an elite double round robin is something special. You can proudly tell your children, yes I witnessed this.

He's for sure gonna destroy Gukesh.

"destroy Gukesh"
- Not so sure. Gukesh won the candidates' two years ago and then defeated Ding Liren in the World Championship's match.
Gukesh is still younger than Sindarov.
Gukesh was out of shape after becoming World Champion and has a lower rating than Sindarov.
If Gukesh gets good helpers, then it will be a tense match.

I'm not sure if Gukesh can play the WCC in his peak form. He won't get destroyed if he plays in peak form, but if he plays the way he does now, he's gonna get destroyed. I don't think he's showing signs of regaining peak form.

His draw yesterday also takes his unbeaten run to 50 games.

Sindarov might beat him. I won't boo either of them for winning. Whoever wins will have earned it. I hope it's a good World Championship match and not a slaughter.
